    Amaretto Apples on Pound Cake

    Makes about 6 servings

    2 tbsp unsalted butter

    4 apple, peeled, cored and sliced

    1/4 cup brown sugar

    1/4 cup amaretto

    1/4 cup milk

    1 pound cake, sliced into 2" slices

    fat free whipped cream

    1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Added the apples and sugar and cook until soft, between 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in the amaretto, mixing well, followed by the  milk. Cook for another 5 minutes to allow sauce to slightly thicken. Remove from heat. 

    2. To serve, top slices of pound cake with apples and fat free whipped cream. Drizzle with some  of the amaretto sauce.
